Subedar Juglal's platoon was leading during the attack on Menon Hill and in spite of the rain, hailstorm and very stormy wind, he led his platoon in pitch darkness over the slope and perilous mountain slopes to a height of 1200 feet and captured his objective at early dawn in spite of heavy enemy MMG fire. In spite of the danger to himself he pushed forward with full determination inspiring his men. When the company reached Viji Gali orders were received from main headquarters to assist Patiala gunners who were stranded due to six feet snow. With his platoon and the remainder of the company, he pulled the guns one by one and brought them safely to their objective. But for his determination and enthusiasm, the seemingly impossible feat would not have been accomplished.
